Man and Vans On Time Restrictions When Moving

Many Man and Vans customers are unaware of time restrictions when moving Although, Man and Vans is available to help you with your move at any time you plan on moving. But we find many customers are unprepared when the big day comes. There are certain restrictions that might seem obvious, but are often overlooked.

Moving can be stressful. So, knowing all the information prior is vital to ensure the move goes smoothly.

The main problem we’ve encountered many times is time restrictions. Customers are just unaware that they needed to vacate their current property by a certain time and that they would only get keys to the new property after midday. Many of our moves are carried out on an hourly rate. So, you can imagine the frustration when our van is all loaded up and we arrive to the new property only to find the keys will be released in a few hours.

Meaning the hourly rate ticks over while our guys sit in the van waiting to unload.

Another thing to consider is that most moving companies have higher rates on the weekends, over the holidays, the first day of the month, and sometimes even during the summer. If you want to save some money and have the best movers available taking care of your belongings, check with the company when making in enquiry.

Often, customers forget to consider what family members might be around and how it might affect them. Family celebrations and holidays should be spent at home and although, the place you will be moving to will eventually become home. Spending it with neighbourhood friends and family is much better. You will also ease the stress of the move if you move right after your kids have finished school in the summer and not right before they start school. This will give them time to adjust.
