Man and Van London Fireworks

man-and-van-fireworksWhen Guido Fawkes was caught, fuse in hand, under the Houses of Parliament standing next to enough gunpowder to destroy half of Westminister he must have thought that things couldn’t get much worse. He’d not managed to blow up King James I, the Gunpowder plot had failed in the conspiracy to end the government and he was about to be tortured to death. Then again he did manage to leave a legacy in the form of bonfire night. Guy would have been happy being hung, drawn and quartered knowing that every 5th November we celebrate his monumental failure by setting effigies of him on fire and representing what he should have done by shooting fireworks into the air.
