Earlier the Better
If you are planning your move around Christmas time, make sure that you are ahead of the game by moving as early as possible. Preferably early in the month of December to be in your new place to welcome the holidays with a Christmas lunch in your new home. This could be the perfect situation to kill two birds with one stone and have a house warming party as well!
Organise! Organise! Organise!
By keeping everything organised and methodical, it makes this stressful situation 10 times more easier. Labelling, compartmentalising and simply having your things together will make sure that you know which items are to be moved first and unpacked first which will make wrapping, packing and unpacking a breeze.
Be Prepared
Declare your change of address immediately to everyone who will need to get a hold you via post. Most people forget to change their postal address on important documentation. Be prepared and change your address before you move.
Decorate To Celebrate
Have your Christmas decorations packed and ready to go so you can unpack and set up as soon as the box arrives at your new destination. This will make the moving process fun and your Christmas spirit won’t be dampened by boxes and clutter.
